Workshop on CO2 and climate change On March 22nd the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona hosted an event called “Zero Waste Workshop”. There were around 150 participants coming from administration, industries and consulting groups. Over 15 experts presented ways to mitigate CO2 in relation to waste and waste treatment. Some notable highlights include the introduction of a straightforward CO2 calculator for waste treatment plans in Europe, results on using compost generated from MSW on crops, a survey of the waste footprint when making similar purchases from various supermarkets and the presentation of novel technologies that upgrade biogas for distribution into the natural gas grid while storing CO2.

BABIU pilot tests were performed in the week 12-16 december 2011.

A3 - AwR test (Casa Rota Landfill, from Nov 14, 2011 12:00 AM to Nov 18, 2011 12:00 AM)

The first tets for the Absorption with Regeneration (AwR) process were performed during the week 14-18 november 2011.
